Active+ Milford - Occupational Therapist

Come and be part of a great team on the North Shore. Active+ holds a number of contracts with ACC, including training for independence, vocational health, pain and concussion services. We now need to recruit a highly motivated Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with Occupational Health experience to join our team on the North Shore of Auckland to deliver some or all of these services.

This is a mobile community role, working in a multidisciplinary team, with other allied health workers and medical specialists, assessing and managing ACC clients' return to work. You will also be involved with home visits, helping injured clients return to functional independence. There may also be involvement in clients with chronic pain. 

Skills and experience required:

  • An enthusiastic and fun team player, who can also work autonomously, with great attitude and willingness to learn. 
  • The relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. BHSc OT)
  • Current registration with the NZ Board (e.g. OTBNZ, PNZ ) 
  • Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience/clinical background in: Community-based Rehabilitation and Vocational Rehabilitation or Musculo-skeletal. Preference will given for Post-graduate qualifications in Vocational Rehab services, and/or a proven record of relevant professional development in this scope of work.
  • A full clean NZ / Australian  Driver's Licence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills.

Active+ Te Kuiti - Administrator

Active+ Waikato provides premier vocational rehabilitation, physiotherapy and occupational therapy services throughout the Waikato/Lakes district.  We place an emphasis on quality injury prevention, early treatment and rehabilitation services to improve the health and well-being of our customers.

 Active+ Waikato are seeking an outstanding Administrator – someone who is professional yet personable, takes a strong interest in our organisation's values and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the administrative responsibilities for our Te Kuiti clinic are managed efficiently. The hours of work are 24.5 hours per week, Monday and Friday 9.00am to 1.00pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday working 9.00am – 3.00pm with a half hour lunch break.

In addition to general reception, responsibilities include:

  • Managing client bookings
  • Invoicing
  • Weekly banking
  • General administration, including ordering supplies and typing documents
  • Keeping clinic presentable

Occupational Therapist (full time or part time), Active+ New Plymouth, Taranaki

Active+ New Plymouth has been established in the Taranaki community for over 10 years, developing a multi-disciplinary team with a diverse mix of ACC and private services. We believe in creating a fun, supportive and flexible environment that makes our work enjoyable for both us and our clients.

About the role:

We are looking for an OT to provide a range of services which might include vocational/return to work, pain management, and brain injury rehabilitation depending on interests and experience.The role will suit an OT wanting some variety in their caseload, and with a passion for delivering community based rehabilitation with a client focus.  You would be required to:

  • Assess clients’ needs, often at home or in their workplace
  • Provide written reports in a timely manner for ACC or private vendors
  • Liaise closely with all relevant MDT personnel including case managers, doctors, physios, employers, psychologists etc.
  • Use a problem solving approach, often requiring some lateral thinking, to achieve the best outcome for all involved parties.

Experience in the contracts is not necessary as on the job training and mentoring can be provided for the right applicant.
