Active+ Ellerslie - Full-time Physiotherapist

Come and join the team at Active+ Ellerslie! We are looking for a full time physiotherapist to be part of our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. This role would suit someone looking to be part of a dynamic team, to work alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pilates instructors and massage therapists. You need to be very organised and a great time manager with strong communication and interpersona skills. This role is flexible and may include all or some of the following depending on the successful candidate’s interests:

- Musculoskeletal physiotherapy assessment / treatment in clinic

- Pilates and Cancer Rehabilitation

- Vocational rehabilitation including occupational work site assessments and planning return to work programmes for ACC clients, plus provision of gym or pool based injury rehabilitation to a wide range of clientele

- Provide comprehensive care to clients who are trying to regain independence following injury alongside a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, OT's, psychologists and medical specialists

Ideally the successful candidate would have a minimum of 2 years experience, as well as some pilates and/or acupuncture experience however this is not necessarily a must for the right person. Active+ Howick & Highbrook - Full-time Occupational Therapist
 

Come and join the team at Active+ Howick and Highbrook as part of our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. We are looking for a dynamic team player to work alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and the rest of our Allied health teams across a number of contracts.You need to be very organised and a great time manager with strong communication and interpersona skills. The workload would suit an experienced OT with a background in vocational rehabilitation, concussion and traumatic brain injury, mental health or persistent pain.

Experience and post graduate qualifications in Vocational rehabilitation are a prerequisite for this role.  However an applicant interested in undertaking post graduate study would be considered and fully funded for the successful candidate. Opportunities to move into clinical management exist for the right person.

Occupational Therapist (full time or part time), Active+ New Plymouth, Taranaki

Active+ New Plymouth has been established in the Taranaki community for over 10 years, developing a multi-disciplinary team with a diverse mix of ACC and private services. We believe in creating a fun, supportive and flexible environment that makes our work enjoyable for both us and our clients.

About the role:

We are looking for an OT to provide a range of services which might include vocational/return to work, pain management, and brain injury rehabilitation depending on interests and experience.The role will suit an OT wanting some variety in their caseload, and with a passion for delivering community based rehabilitation with a client focus.  You would be required to:

  • Assess clients’ needs, often at home or in their workplace
  • Provide written reports in a timely manner for ACC or private vendors
  • Liaise closely with all relevant MDT personnel including case managers, doctors, physios, employers, psychologists etc.
  • Use a problem solving approach, often requiring some lateral thinking, to achieve the best outcome for all involved parties.

Experience in the contracts is not necessary as on the job training and mentoring can be provided for the right applicant.
