Then look no further. Active+ Taranaki is looking for a new Occupational Therapist to join our ever growing team. Active+ provides premier vocational rehabilitation, occupational therapy and physiotherapy services throughout the Taranaki district. We place an emphasis on quality injury prevention, early treatment and rehabilitation services to improve the health and well-being of our clients.

As part of our multidisciplinary team you will have the chance to work on a variety of contracts, depending on interest and experience. These include:

  • Community social rehabilitation
  • Pain Management
  • Housing Modifications
  • Wheelchair and seating
  • Concussion and brain injury
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Pediatric rehab
  • Vocational rehabilitation

Job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assess clients’ needs, often in their own home or workplace
  • Provide written reports in a timely manner for ACC or private vendors
  • Liaise closely with all relevant MDT personnel such as Case Managers, Clients, Employers, Medical Professionals and Allied Health Professionals
  • Use a problem solving approach to achieve the best outcome for all parties involved.

In order to be successful, you will need: 

  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload
  • Positive attitude
  • NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit
  • Current New Zealand Occupational Therapy Annual Practicing Certificate (or be in the process of obtaining one)
  • A current, clean NZ driver’s license.
