About our Practice

We have relocated from our Rosedale Clinic to our Albany clinic at 84 Don McKinnon Drive, Albany.

We have a dedicated team of clinicians, passionate about helping those with neurological disorders.

Our exercise space is equipped with specialised neuro rehab physio equipment, including a body weight support system thus allowing those with disabilities to utilise exercise equipment for great outcomes.

Our neuro team is able to see anyone with a neurological condition such as Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Peripheral Neuropathy, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), Vestibular issues and we have an experienced team who work on ACC Concussion Services.

What is Neuro Physio?

Neurological Physiotherapy is a specialist area of physiotherapy which focuses on assessing and treating people with movement disorders. These disorders can result from injury or disease to the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord or extremities of the body.

At Active+ Neuro Physio we are neuroplastic experts, we help you to reconnect the brain and body to achieve the goals you set.

We run classes such as the innovative PD Power Hour (a course that incorporates both physical and cognitive activity for people in the early stages of Parkinson's Disease) and MS Get a Head Start - a ground-breaking course that provides hope to those diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

The team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists as well as access to nurses who are trained in rehab. Active+ has a strong multidisciplinary approach and a wealth of additional therapists we can call on including neurologists and psychologists. There is also an experienced muskuloskeletal and Pain Management physio team on site.

Bookings are being taken by our reception team and they can give you any information you may require.

Clients can park in the Wilson's carpark and we will pay for your parking for the duration of your appointment on arrival at the clinic. No need to take a ticket - please just inform reception of your registration when you come in.

If you require a disability car park, this is conveniently positioned at the rear of the building for easy access to the clinic. If you have any special requirement, please discuss this with our reception team. They will tell you the best place to be dropped off if you are using another provider (such as Driving Miss Daisy or taxi service.)

Prior to your initial assessment you will receive some paperwork to fill in and then attend a one-hour initial appointment with one of our neuro physios. They will discuss your goals and the issues you are currently having and will then complete a physical assessment. After this they will then provide you with an individual tailored treatment plan unique to your needs.
