Calendar Wed, 17 Feb 2016Share

It was a great day on Saturday 13th of Feb, in Okahi Bay, Auckland, for the 2016 edition of Paddle for Hope. We had 13 teams of staff and patients from Active+ taking part, who all got in to the spirit of the occasiin in dress-up and in mood! In total, over $78000 was raised for the PINC and STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation trust, to fund New Zealanders through these amazing physical rehab programs.

Dianne, one of the clients from Orewa, won the award for the most individual amount raised, and took home a years supply of NuZest products for her efforts. The Albany Avengers team took home the award for the best dressed team, and Paul Lagerman from the Albaby branch won the individual honours in the Active+ sprint race.

We had a great time putting people through their balance paces in our Active+ challenge, and one lucky winner walking away with a FitBit Charge HR. Thanks to all for participating in the challenge, particualrly Jazz, who smashed the competition by one whole minute!

We look forward to nexts years edition of this amazing charitable event. In the meantime, you can see some photos of the event on our Facebook page here.
