Many readers will no doubt be familiar with the term “career transition” – that time in our working life when we look to move in a new direction.
The reasons for making such a transition could be voluntary or due to financial or lifestyle factors.
Many people, however, are thrust into a career transition for reasons outside their control, such as redundancy or injury.
Within Active+, we have vocational consultants working in the field of vocational rehabilitation, and worh with this latter group – candidates who have been injured, are no longer able to return to the work they were doing, and who are looking to move in a new career direction.
One of our vocational consultants, Stephen Taylor, has written an article about how vocational consultants help with this process - you can read the article here.
