Roisin Eivers


Roisin is a Chartered Physiotherapist who graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (2013) with an honours degree. After qualifying, Roisin moved to New Zealand and joined the Active Plus team in 2015. Since then she has gained a wealth of experience treating a range of musculoskeletal complaints, as well as in teaching Pilates. Roisin enjoys using Clinical Pilates as part of the injury rehabilitation process. She has trained in Mat and reformer Pilates as well as the use of the trap table and Wunda chair. Roisin’s special interests include Women’s Health, vocational rehabilitation and sports Physiotherapy. She has completed the McKenzie Lumbar Spine Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy as well as APPI pre and post-natal Pilates. She has also completed courses in Dry Needling, sports taping and sports traumatology. Roisin is passionate about health and exercise and helping her patients return to an active lifestyle. She enjoys keeping active by running, swimming, and going to the gym. She relishes the chance to enjoy the outdoor pursuits New Zealand has to offer, such as mountain biking and skiing.

My Goals

• To complete a triathlon and half marathon in 2017 • To improve upon my knowledge of vocational rehabilitation by completing a course and doing some extra reading.
