Kayleigh graduated with a Physiotherapy degree from the University of Pretoria, in South Africa, in 2016. She then spent a year working in a hospital and community in rural South Africa where she gained valuable skills learning to communicate and work with patients from different cultural backgrounds (some who had little ability to speak and understand English). She has since worked in a different private practices, both in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Kayleigh's work experience has allowed her to gain skills working in Neurology rehabilitation (including spinal cord injuries), Paediatrics, Geriatrics, Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal, Vestibular rehabilitation and Respiratory Physiotherapy. She has particular interests in Neurology, Paediatrics and Geriatrics. She is also certified to do Dry needling. Kayleigh enjoys working with patients to empower them, improve their independence and quality of life.
Kayleigh works in our Marton clinic, and sees community based & rest home clients around the Whanganui / Rangitikei regions. Outside of work, Kayleigh enjoys tramping, swimming and spending time with family
1) To participate in some more concussion and pain related courses
2)To work on increasing my own fitness and strength levels and be more active and
3) To participate and integrate into more community events in Marton and Whanganui.
