Aliena was born in New Plymouth and raised on a farm in South Taranaki, in 2015 she moved to Auckland to study at Auckland University of Technology. In 2018 she graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) and moved back home to start her career as an Occupational Therapist. Aliena has a strong sporting background as a swimmer, basketball and netball player, having competed at senior and age-grade representative level for both Taranaki and Auckland.

Aliena is interested in working within the field of vocational rehabilitation. She is  eager to continue her personal/professional development in Occupational Therapy practice, and would like to study towards a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation in the near future.
