Ali graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland in 2016 and received her Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy. She moved to New Zealand in January 2017 and has been working primarily in a clinic based setting since then. Ali has experience working with varied population groups from youth in schools, to sports teams to elderly rehabilitation.
Ali’s areas of clinical interest include: sports injuries; injury prevention; pilates; exercise therapy and rehabilitation. She has a certificate in STOTT Pilates and she has completed her Dry Needling Introductory Course.
Ali is experienced in rehabilitation and delivers onsite and offsite treatment enhancing patient outcomes and care with a wide range of ACC contracts. Ali is also involved in a new pilot study for MyAC, which aims to accelerate care for patients with shoulder injuries and dislocations, knee injuries including ligament, meniscus, patella dislocations, as well as acute back injuries. This programme enables a interdisciplinary approach as to optimise quicker and more effective rehabilitation and recovery.
In her spare time Ali enjoys running, HIIT training and exploring New Zealand. She also loves to bake!
