Pamela Rivers


Pam graduated from The University of Otago in 2006 and has 11 years’ experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She is a registered PINC and STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation Physiotherapist and has been providing Cancer rehabilitation in the Manawatu since 2014. She has also completed Levels 1, 11 and 111 as a Back In Motion Pilates Instructor and regularly teach Pilates classes as well as providing one on one Pilates Rehabilitation. Pam has trained in Dry Needling which involves using fine acupuncture needles to target active trigger points within muscles to restore muscle function and tissue healing. She also has experience working with Chronic Pain and worked in a Specialist Musculoskeletal Pain Clinic in Wellington for 2 and a half years. Pam’s focus over the last 4 years has been Pilates, Orthopaedic injuries, Sports Injuries, Vocational Rehabilitation, Cancer Rehabilitation and Chronic Pain. 

Pam believes the key to her role as a Physiotherapist is to establish the underlying cause to a Patient’s injuries and to provide Patients with the tools that they need to manage their condition.

My Goals

  • To continue my education where possible and to excel as a provider     of Pilates, Cancer and Vocational Rehabilitation.
