About us:

Active+ Northland is part of the nationwide Active+ network, delivering rehabilitation, occupational health, and wellness services across New Zealand. With established clinics in Whangārei and Dargaville, we support a wide range of clients through ACC-funded services, vocational rehabilitation, and private care.

We are growing and need an experienced allied health professional to step into a Clinic Manager role to support our local operations and help lead our fantastic team of clinicians.

About the role:

This newly created leadership role will suit a clinically registered allied health professional (e.g. Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) who is ready to lead from the front. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of both clinics, while also mentoring the clinical team and ensuring operational and contractual compliance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and guidance to the multidisciplinary team
  • Overseeing operations across both Whangārei and Dargaville sites
  • Managing rosters, clinic systems, room utilisation, and resources
  • Ensuring compliance with ACC contracts, privacy standards, and H&S legislation
  • Tracking KPIs, clinician performance, and patient satisfaction
  • Representing the clinic with external stakeholders and referral partners
  • Supporting staff onboarding, training, and performance development
  • Leading continuous improvement in systems, quality, and clinical governance

What you’ll bring:

  • A current clinical registration (Physio, OT or similar) and Annual Practising Certificate
  • At least 5 years’ experience in allied health, ideally with leadership or supervisory experience
  • A sound understanding of ACC rehab services and community-based care
  • Strong people skills with the ability to coach, develop and coordinate a team
  • Confident working with systems and data (e.g. Gensolve, Microsoft Office)
  • A positive, proactive, and calm presence who thrives in a team-focused environment
  • A full NZ driver’s licence (travel to Dargaville required regularly)

What we offer:

  • A rewarding leadership role with purpose and autonomy
  • Professional development opportunities and exposure to clinical governance
  • Flexible, supportive working culture with input into decision-making
  • The chance to shape and grow a respected allied health service across Northland
  • Competitive salary based on experience
