Active+ Albany is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team. Our current Occupational Therapy caseload is primarily focused on ACC Stay at Work services. You will also have opportunities to work across other ACC rehabilitation contracts, with training and support provided where required.

About the role

You will:

• Complete occupational and vocational assessments
• Support clients to remain at work or return to work safely and sustainably
• Develop practical, individualised rehabilitation and return-to-work plans
• Complete workplace, community and home-based assessments
• Liaise with clients, employers, ACC, medical practitioners and other members of the rehabilitation team
• Manage your own caseload and complete high-quality clinical reports within required timeframes
• Contribute to other ACC rehabilitation services, with training provided as needed
• Work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of two years’ post-graduate experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand
• A current Annual Practising Certificate
• A full New Zealand driver licence
• Confidence working independently in clinic, workplace and community settings
• Strong communication, time-management and report-writing skills
• A collaborative, practical and client-centred approach

Previous experience in vocational rehabilitation, ACC services, community rehabilitation or hospital-based rehabilitation would be an advantage. However, training can be provided for ACC services outside your existing areas of experience.
