Damian has gained extensive experience both in New Zealand and the UK in a variety of hospitals and private practices over the last 29 years.
He has attended numerous postgraduate courses to extend his skill base and develop new treatment strategies. This includes being qualified in the world acclaimed McKenzie Method of spinal treatment and completing his certification in Advanced Sports Rehabilitation at the prestigious Curtin University in Australia. Damian completed his postgraduate diploma in health science in 2016 with an A grade average and received the Manipulative Therapy association award for “first in class” in the musculoskeletal physiotherapy examinations. He has recently completed a Masters in Health Practice with Distinction, and has written an academic review on the efficacy of hypnotherapy for persistent pain. Damian works with Active Plus under ACC's Pain Management Service.
