About

Ashley has 20 years of clinical experience and holds a post graduate diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and a post graduate certificate in Western Acupuncture. He has an interest in rehabilitation and injury prevention for endurance athletes including runners, swimmers and multisport athletes. He uses video analysis of movement and gait to analyse issues that might be contributing to injuries or affecting performance. He combines Acupuncture and dry needling techniques, manual and manipulative therapy with muscle balance/biomechanical assessment and exercise prescription to help you return to your best. Having represented Great Britain and New Zealand at age group level in both long course and standard distance Triathlons and also having competed in the New Zealand Ironman in Taupo three times with a best of 10 hours 7 mins he understands completely demands placed on the mind and body when training for long distance endurance events.

Ashley is the preferred physiotherapist for Phoenix Aquatics Swimming Club and North Harbour Triathlon Club.

He still enjoys the three disciplines of triathlon, and swims competitively for North Shore Masters Swimming club taking part in both pool and open water events.
