Huhana Whautere
Occupational Therapist

About

Huhana has previously worked in private practice in community, vocational and concussion rehab, overseeing a team and more recently been a fieldwork lecturer for the Occupational Therapy School. I think that it is really important for academic staff to stay up to date with what is happening in practice so have decided to keep "my finger on the pulse".

In my spare time you will probably find me walking our 2 bullmastiffs or on the golf course. Travel is a passion of mine, I have travelled to 35 countries and counting.

My Goals

My passion and life mission is to effect change within the Occupational Therapy profession within Aotearoa to ensure that Te Tiriti o Waitangi is being honoured and therapists are playing their part as advocates for change within Māori communities.
