About

Roz joined the Active Plus team in March 2018 after being lured to Taranaki shores by its surf breaks and affordable life-style blocks. Originally from Sheffield in the UK, Roz moved to New Zealand in 2005 and completed her Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy 2011. After graduating she split her time between working in the hospital and working as a researcher for Auckland University of Technology doing research into neuroscience, MRI and pain. This resulted in a first-class Master’s degree in 2015 and a number of academic journal publications and conference presentations.

These geeky past-times were placed on hold in 2017 with the birth of her son Riley, which gave her a new focus for the next year (/rest of her life). With a passion for all things exercise, Roz has really enjoyed getting back into work and working with clients in the gym. Other areas of professional interest include working with clients with neurological and vestibular conditions and rehabilitation post-surgery.

In her time away from work Roz enjoys being outdoors and hanging out with her little family, as well as going surfing and doing cross-fit whenever the chance arises. The remainder of her weekends are usually spent working on the perpetual jobs encountered living on a life-style block.
