Donna MacCarthy
Occupational Therapist

About

I graduated from AUT in 2006 and predominantly worked 12 years under ACC contracts with brain injury, spinal cord injuries and a range of other injuries with adults. I have been involved in both rehabilitation programmes and as an assessor under serious needs assessments, household assessments, equipment and housing. The past 4 years I have spent in Northland DHB,  working with adult clients who have health related needs and as part of the Community Assessment and Rehabilitation (CARS) team for post stoke and other degenerative neurological rehabilitation.

Outside of work I am the President for the Far North Search and Rescue team and active member of the team. I enjoy bush walks, fishing, hiking and going out in the kayak.

My Goals

To support my 3 lively children. Work towards a post graduate paper in rehabilitation.
