Occupational Therapy

Our Paediatric Occupational Therapy service helps children develop the skills they need to navigate daily life, play, and learning. We support children who experience challenges with fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and independence in everyday tasks, as well as those who may be struggling with school-related activities. Our therapists use a child-centred, play-based approach, tailoring sessions to each child's needs and strengths. 

We work closely with Speech-Language Therapists and Physiotherapists to provide a well-rounded approach that supports all areas of a child’s development. For children who may be finding school a bit challenging, we can help build the foundational skills needed to boost their confidence and performance.

Speech & Language Therapy

Our Paediatric Speech-Language Therapy service supports children in developing their communication skills in a way that suits their individual needs. We work with children experiencing speech delays, language difficulties, and social communication challenges.

Using a play-based, family-centred approach, our therapists create a supportive environment where children can build confidence in their communication. We work closely with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to provide a holistic approach, ensuring all aspects of a child’s development are considered.

Physiotherapy

Our Paediatric Physiotherapy service is dedicated to helping children with developmental, neurological, orthopaedic, and physical conditions that affect their movement, coordination, and overall physical abilities. We work with children facing challenges from conditions like:

• Cerebral palsy
• Developmental coordination disorder
• Spina bifida
• Acquired brain injuries
• Concussions
• Orthopaedic conditions
• Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
• Toe walking
• Other neurological or developmental delays.

We also support children experiencing pain related to musculoskeletal issues or growth-related discomfort.

Using a child-friendly, play-based approach, our Physiotherapists create personalised treatment plans that focus on improving movement, strength, coordination, balance, and managing pain. We incorporate advanced techniques like whole body vibration training, Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), the Bobath approach, and electrical stimulation to enhance therapy outcomes. Whether it's supporting your child with walking, motor planning, everyday activities, or relieving discomfort from orthopaedic conditions, our goal is to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to navigate their world.

Group Therapy

We offer dynamic group therapy sessions designed for children at a range of ages, providing a supportive and engaging environment to develop essential skills. Led by our experienced team of Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists, and Physiotherapists, these small-group sessions foster social interaction, communication, motor skills, and confidence through structured activities and play-based learning. Group therapy encourages peer connections, teamwork, and real-world skill application in a fun and motivating setting. With a focus on individual goals within a group dynamic, our sessions help children build the skills they need to thrive at home, school, and in the community.

Social Communication - Helping tamariki connect, communicate, and thrive

Groups: Toddlers, Primary, Secondary

Our Social Communication Group is designed to support children in developing essential social skills in a fun and interactive setting. Led by our experienced Speech-Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, these sessions focus on turn-taking, conversation skills, understanding social cues, and building friendships. Through structured activities, role-playing, and play-based learning, children gain the confidence to navigate social interactions at home, school, and beyond.

Motor Coordination - Building strength, skill, and cofidence

Groups: Toddlers, Primary

Our Motor Coordination Group is designed to help children develop essential movement skills in a fun and supportive environment. Led by our experienced Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, these sessions focus on improving balance, coordination, strength, and fine and gross motor skills through engaging activities and play-based exercises. Whether it's climbing, jumping, catching, or handwriting, our group sessions provide the practice and confidence children need to move with ease in everyday life.

Speech Sounts - Clearer speech, greater confidence!

Groups: Toddlers, Primary

Our Speech Sounds Group is designed to help children develop clear and confident speech in a fun, interactive setting. Led by our experienced Speech-Language Therapists, these sessions focus on improving pronunciation, articulation, and phonological awareness through engaging games and structured activities. With small group sizes, children receive targeted support while benefiting from peer interaction, making learning both effective and enjoyable. Whether your child is working on specific speech sounds or overall clarity, our group sessions provide the practice and encouragement they need to communicate with confidence.

Therapy Intensives

Does your child have a disability? Would you like an intensive block of physiotherapy, and/or speech and language therapy? We are now offering therapy intensives for up to 3 weeks.
