In early the early 2000’s I moved from South Africa to New Zealand, where I completed my BA (psych and anth), BA(Hons)Psych, and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. I love learning new things, both academic and non-academic, such as exploring New Zealand. I have worked in community and inpatient mental health, and was involved in setting up rehabilitation and reintegration ward in inpatient mental health. I have a passion for using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and meaningful activities within my practice.

In my spare time I help my husband renovate our house, explore New Zealand, and spend time with family and friends. I still speak Afrikaans and enjoy having the opportunity to use it.
