About

Katie holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy (2015) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (Acupuncture, 2022), both from Auckland University of Technology. She has also recently completed her Level One Matwork Pilates certification.

Katie brings a wealth of experience from working in busy musculoskeletal clinics in both Auckland and Palmerston North, along with previous roles in rehabilitation and burns clinic settings. She joined the Active Plus team in 2023.

Katie takes a holistic and individualised approach to treatment, believing that pain is a personal experience. She uses a wide range of hands-on and therapeutic techniques to support recovery and improve patient outcomes. She has a particular interest in pain science and complex shoulder conditions and is committed to deepening her expertise in these areas over the coming years.

Outside the clinic, Katie has worked with women's rugby and football teams, as well as athletes in dance sports such as gymnastics and ballet. A busy mum of two, she enjoys travelling with her family and staying active. She's eagerly looking forward to the day her children can join her in sport, so she can share her passion for physical activity and movement.
