Laura Holder


Laura trained as a Physiotherapist in England in 1997 and came to New Zealand in 2002 to enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle. Laura completed her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy with first class honours in 2013. She has worked for the School of Physiotherapy for over 10 yrs and is currently a research officer at AUT University. Laura’s area of research focuses on low back pain and manual handling lifting technique. Subsequently, her clinical interests are in rehabilitation of the lumbar spine, manual handling training, occupational health, the management of persistent or chronic pain and acupuncture. On a personal note, Laura enjoys playing football, cycling and sailing with her husband and two young boys.
