About

Mario is a Director and Senior Physiotherapist at our Howick clinic. Since graduating as the Best Overall Physiotherapy Student in 2020, he has remained passionate about helping clients achieve their goals.

His approach combines manual therapy, dry needling and exercise-based rehabilitation, with each treatment plan tailored to the individual's needs and goals. Having experienced a shoulder dislocation himself he enjoys managing shoulder injuries. Mario has worked across a number of contracts and enjoys providing vocational services, as well as treating everyday injuries.

Alongside his clinical work, Mario enjoys sharing his knowledge as a part-time lecturer in AUT'sergraduate physiotherapy programme. After six years with the Active+ team, he is proud to bring his experience to the Howick community and support local clients in returning to the activities that matter most to them.

My Goals

Achieve a V6 grade in bouldering.
Begin physiotherapy research thesis
