Ella Herd
Physiotherapist

About

Ella is a New Zealand-trained physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Auckland in 2020. She has a strong background in treating musculoskeletal injuries and takes an individualised, evidence-based, and experience-informed approach to help clients regain movement, strength, and confidence.

While musculoskeletal physiotherapy remains her core focus, Ella has a particular passion for working with children. She is dedicated to helping tamariki overcome barriers—whether related to pain, injury, or developmental challenges—so they can participate fully in play, learning, sports and everyday life.

Ella has also recently completed paediatric-specific cancer rehabilitation training through the Pinc & Steel Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation. This additional qualification enables her to provide tailored support for children recovering from cancer treatment, helping them build resilience, restore function, and regain confidence in their movement.

Originally from Auckland, Ella relocated to Taranaki in 2022 with her dog. Together, they love exploring the region, heading out for runs, and making the most of the outdoors. When she’s not in the clinic, Ella enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, and playing music.
