Occupational Therapist
About
I am a passionate Occupational Therapist with a strong commitment to client-centred practice. I believe that every person is unique, and that successful rehabilitation starts with understanding the individual, their strengths, values and what is important to them. I enjoy working alongside clients to support them to reach their potential, overcome barriers and engage in the occupations that bring meaning and purpose to their lives.
I currently work across ACC Needs Assessment Services, addressing clients' injury-related needs by identifying appropriate supports and equipment to maximise their independence and participation in activities of daily living. I also provide vocational rehabilitation under the ACC Back to Work contract, supporting individuals to overcome barriers and work towards a successful return to the workforce.
Having worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 20 years, I bring a wealth of experience from a range of clinical settings across the UK, Australia and New Zealand. I graduated with a BSc in Occupational Therapy in the UK in 2003 and more recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Occupational Therapy Practice in 2024. I am passionate about continued learning and professional development, and enjoy building on my knowledge and skills throughout my career.
Outside of work, I love getting outdoors, whether it's bike riding with my kids or exploring the beautiful walking tracks and trails around Northland.
