About

Alyssa graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy in 2009, and has since built an impressive portfolio of advanced qualifications — including the PINC & Steel Cancer Rehabilitation certification (2014), a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (2021), and a Lymphoedema Therapy qualification (2023).

Alyssa's special interest lies in cancer rehabilitation, though she brings extensive experience across a broad range of musculoskeletal injuries and post-surgical recovery, and genuinely enjoys the variety this adds to her practice.

Beyond the clinic, Alyssa has over 13 years of sports sideline experience across rugby, touch, and football, and currently serves as physiotherapist for the Mahurangi Rugby Club Premiers. Her career highlights include travelling with Team New Zealand Cheerleading to the Cheerleading Worlds in the United States in 2014 and 2015, and joining the New Zealand Parliamentary Rugby team on their tour to France in 2024.

In 2016, Alyssa and her husband Cam took ownership of the Active+ Warkworth clinic, driven by a commitment to delivering high-quality Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services to the Warkworth community. That vision continues today, with a skilled and experienced team offering a wide range of expertise to support their clients.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys time with her children, riding her horse, baking, and a variety of crafts.
