About

Loretta graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2012. Loretta has since worked in a hospital setting seeing a variety of people with respiratory, orthopaedic, and neurological conditions. She has had an interest in rehabilitation and has worked in hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation for 5 years. During that time, Loretta obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Neurorehabilitation in 2020. Loretta continues to work with people with a variety of conditions but particularly those with neurological and respiratory conditions in the outpatient and community setting within the hospital. She has a perpetual goal to improve and expand her practicing skills, and working with Active Plus allows her to meet and help more people with different conditions and challenges. Loretta finds meaning in helping people work towards regaining the movement and confidence to return to the activities that are meaningful or important to them. 

When outside of work, her main priority is to her young family. She also enjoys walks and hikes, cooking and trying new recipes, spending time with friends and traveling when it is possible.
