Claire Drummond
Occupational Therapist
About
Claire is a registered Occupational Therapist with more than 20 years' experience across pain management, pelvic health, vocational rehabilitation, mental health and concussion services.
Claire is on the New Zealand Pain Society Council and Co-Chair of the Abdomino-Pelvic Pain Special Interest Group. Her postgraduate research has explored the barriers people with endometrosis/mate kirikopu face in sustaining employment, along with the strategies that help them remain in meaningful work.
Claire is passionate about ensuring that peoples lived experiences genuinely inform health services, education and professional practice. She brings both professional knowledge and her own experience of navigating significant health challenges to her work.
Outside work, Claire enjoys line dancing, travelling, gardening, crafts, cooking and spending time at the beach. She describes herself as naturally curious, creative and always keen to learn - and she strongly believes in helping people recognise their strengths and reach their potential.
