About

Pancho is an Occupational Therapist with over five years of experience working with people with neurological and physical conditions. He completed his Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in Chile and gained experience across primary healthcare and hospital settings, supporting people to maximise their independence and participation in everyday life.

After moving to New Zealand, Pancho worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Whanganui Hospital in 2025 before joining the Community Rehabilitation team at Active+ in Palmerston North.

Pancho has a special interest in neurological rehabilitation and enjoys working with people to improve their function, independence and participation at home and in the community. He is passionate about continuing to develop his skills and knowledge in this area, with an interest in postgraduate study in neurorehabilitation.

Outside of work, Pancho enjoys playing football, meeting new people and making the most of the outdoors in New Zealand, particularly walking along the beach, hiking and exploring new places.

My Goals

  • Continue developing my skills and knowledge in neurological rehabilitation and explore postgraduate study in this area.
  • Support people to maximise their independence and participation in their homes and communities.
  • Become more involved in the Palmerston North community through sport, outdoor activities and exploring new places.
