About

I completed my Physiotherapy degree in the UK in 2007. I moved to Vancouver, Canada, in 2008 where I met my Kiwi husband and we moved to New Zealand together in 2016. I have worked for Active+ since I moved to NZ and have had two energetic daughters in that time as well.

I have mostly worked in private musculoskeletal outpatient settings but have also spent time working in various wards in a public hospital. I have been certified to practice acupuncture since 2008 and find this is a safe and useful treatment for a wide range of issues.

Since moving to NZ, I received training through the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) for teaching Pilates, including a focussed course for treating women pre and post-partum. Since then, I have been running small group classes in the Te Rapa clinic.

I have also completed training to perform internal pelvic assessments so that I can provide pelvic health care. I am also a trained PINC physiotherapist, which means that I have the specialised knowledge and tools for treating women with cancer.

My Goals

  • Before the year is out, I want to play my violin in a couple more concerts with local community orchestras.
  • Take my kids to the snow, and get at least one day skiing or snowboarding to myself!
  • Go rock climbing outdoors at least once this coming summer.
